Terms of Use
Effective 3 November 2026
These terms cover your use of simplivera.com (also called Coverage Companion). They are written to be read. The most important part is the second section: Simplivera helps you understand health plans, but it doesn't sell insurance, give advice or enroll you, and you should check every figure before you rely on it.
Agreeing to these terms
Simplivera is operated by [Company legal name](“Simplivera”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What Simplivera is — and isn’t
Simplivera is a free educational tool. It shows public plan information, estimates costs, explains insurance terms and helps you compare plans, including plans from documents you upload.
- We are not an insurance company, and we are not a licensed insurance agent or broker.
- We don't sell insurance or enroll anyone in a plan. To enroll, go to the insurer, your employer, HealthCare.govor your state's marketplace, or Medicare.gov.
- We don't take commissions or payments from insurers, brokers or enrollment sites, and plans are never ranked by who pays us.
- Nothing on the site — including match scores, rankings and chat answers — is insurance, medical, legal, tax or financial advice, or a recommendation to buy a particular plan.
Check everything before you decide
We work hard to get the numbers right, but they can be wrong. In particular:
- Plan data comes from public government and state files that can be incomplete, out of date or changed after we load them.
- Details extracted from documents you upload are read by AI, which can misread or miss things. Compare them with the original document.
- Chat answers are generated by AI and can be wrong, even when they cite plan data.
- Cost estimates, subsidy estimates and match scores are estimates based on assumptions and typical health care use, not quotes, bills or guarantees. Your actual costs and eligibility depend on your situation and the plan's own rules.
Before you choose or enroll in a plan, confirm premiums, benefits, networks, drug coverage and eligibility with the insurer, your employer's HR or benefits team, HealthCare.gov or Medicare.gov.
Your account
You don't need an account to browse plans. Some features — saving plans, comparing plans side by side, Smart Match results and analyzing plan documents — need a free account. Please give a real email address you control, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Features may have usage limits, such as a daily limit on document analysis.
You must be at least [18] years old to create an account.
What you upload and type
You keep ownership of the documents you upload and the messages you type. You give us permission to process them — including sending them to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy — only to provide the features you use.
Only upload documents and information you have the right to share. Don't upload another person's documents or personal information without their permission.
Acceptable use
When you use Simplivera, please don't:
- scrape, crawl or otherwise access the site by automated means, except as our robots.txt file allows;
- get around usage limits, account requirements or security measures;
- overload, disrupt or try to break into the site or the systems behind it;
- copy or resell the site, its data or its features as your own service;
- use the site to break the law, or to mislead or harm anyone.
We may limit or block access that breaks these rules.
Our content
The site's design, software, text, explanations and guides belong to Simplivera or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Public government data we display remains public; these terms don't limit your rights to it from its original source.
Other websites and services
The site links to other websites, such as HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov and government publications. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Simplivera will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost money or coverage, arising from your use of the site or from relying on anything it shows — including choosing or not choosing a plan. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using the site at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@simplivera.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue — such as disclaimers and limits on liability — continue after your use ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State] and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we will say so on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
